Senior Water Resources Scientist / Hydrologist
Chas has strong analytical skills and significant experience in data science, hydrology, predictive analytics, optimisation, statistics, data management, and software development. Chas’s hydrologic modelling experience includes the development of Water Resource Plan models for Queensland, assessment of town water security under current and future demand and climate scenarios, development and evaluation of water supply options, evaluation of proposals for the release of unallocated water, development and assessment of environmental flow rules, assessment of water trades, MDBA mandatory reporting under the Basin Plan. Additionally, Chas has contributed to the development of hydrologic modelling platforms including eWater Source, Fors, and a multitude of tools for data processing.
Chas has provided high quality advice across a wide range of projects, catchments and clients, and is highly regarded by Departmental personnel and private clients alike for his extensive knowledge and expertise in developing, improving and applying catchment-scale models in a rigorous and scientifically-robust way.
