Joel Rutten
Water Resources Scientist
Joel is a recent graduate who has joined ODH with the already highly developed technical skills critical in the modelling and practical aspects of hydrology and water resource assessment. These technical aspects underpin virtually all Australian water management policy and planning from the local to Commonwealth level, as well as any project with a reliance on some aspect of water resources in terms of its management or supply.
Joel has already undertaken model development, review and assessment for a wide range of projects and catchments, including water security assessment of regional water supply systems, at a large-scale such as the South East Queensland (SEQ) Water Supply System, and a smaller-scale such as Longreach town water supply. Projects have also included farm-scale water supply and cropping performance within the Condamine-Balonne and other catchments, as well as catchment-scale water resource planning and policy outcomes for a number of Queensland catchments.
